Pilates training can not only strengthen deep muscles and improve flexibility, but also help alleviate pain for those suffering from back pain, neck pain, or muscle strains.

Many people experience back pain in their daily lives, mainly due to poor posture and muscle weakness. Pilates training can not only strengthen deep muscles and improve flexibility, but also help alleviate pain for those suffering from back pain, neck pain, or muscle strains. Besides, Pilates training can prevent injuries and correct poor posture. Most people with lumbar spine injuries suffer not only from poor posture but also from weakness in the transverse abdominis and erector spinae muscles. These muscles are crucial for maintaining spinal stability and good posture. Additionally, leg muscle injuries, poor flexibility of the hamstrings, and weakness in the gluteal muscles also contribute to the problem. The Pilates exercise below, known as the "Advanced Push-Up," is an advanced muscle strengthening move that targets the upper body muscles, including the chest, upper back, and transverse abdominis, while also improving hamstring flexibility.
Step 1: Stand with your feet hip-width apart, tighten your abdominal muscles, inhale, and then exhale as you bend forward, relaxing your shoulders and arms.
Step 2: Bend forward, placing your palms on the ground in front of your toes.
Step 3: Inhale, walk your hands forward, keeping your core engaged. Straighten your arms (but don't hyperextend) so they form a straight line with your head and torso, while also straightening your legs (without hyperextending them).
Step 4: Continue walking your hands forward until your palms are directly beneath your shoulders. From a side view, your head, shoulders, hips, and legs should form a straight line, with your arms straight.
Step 5: Exhale, then bend your arms, lowering your upper body until your entire body is parallel to the ground. Inhale and straighten your arms again. Repeat this 5 times, then exhale as you bend your body upward and inhale as you walk your hands back to the starting position.
